Christopher is a self-taught contemporary portrait artist living in Wiltshire, UK, with his partner, a prolific collage artist. Growing up through the 1980s and 90s, his work is shaped by the style, fashion, music and counterculture of those decades.

Having navigated mental health challenges throughout much of his adult life, his portraits explore the tension between the face we present to the world and what lies beneath, grounded in the belief that every face tells a story.

Working on repurposed and reclaimed materials, his raw, high-energy portraits celebrate individuality, imperfection and those who challenge convention. Away from the easel, Chris is a trained financial adviser with 25 years’ experience in financial services and now runs his own social media agency
